One vital component to your successful logo, as I tell my clients often, is simply that you love it. This approach extends to your brand process as well.
I often hear from new clients, when discussing their past attempts at branding, that not only were they disappointed with the results, but also with the process. This should not be the case! I take great joy in creating logos and websites, and work to make sure that my clients also enjoy the experience. Creative endeavors and identity development can be challenging, sure, but should also be fun.
The key is developing an honest client/designer relationship from the start, a simple and transparent process, open communication, and follow-up. The outcome is a brand that is authentic and compelling, one to which your clients and customers will naturally connect.
